Welcome
Tran Bui put her successful career as a television news anchor and reporter on hold to spend more time with her children. Today this stay-at-home mom is back in the business as a freelance news anchor/reporter, field producer, writer and media specialist.
Her career is a decorated one with many awards for excellence in reporting and in audience appeal. Among these honors are six awards of excellence in four states including Tran came to as a refugee of Communism. Her family had nothing when the U.S. Navy plucked them from the ocean off after the war. She feels compelled to donate her time and money to pay back the kindnesses her family received on their flight from oppression to freedom. From Some of them include the Memphis Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40, Memphis Woman Magazine’s 50 Women Who Make a Difference, MPACT Makers Award, Proud Magazine’s Top Guns Under 40 and the Memphis Multicultural and Religious Affairs Office’s Volunteer of the month.
Tran is also in demand as a public speaker, emcee, volunteer and fundraiser. She is often quoted and featured in various publications across the Mid-South.
